Frequently asked questions
What does the Meowdoku solver do?
It enumerates every arrangement that satisfies "one cat per row, column and region, with no touching", then tells you whether the puzzle has a unique solution, several, or none — and shows the full answer.
How do I enter a board?
The quickest way is a number grid: for 7×7, write 7 rows of 7 numbers from 0 to 6, where equal numbers mean the same region. Painting cells or pasting a shared puzzle link works too.
Why does it say "multiple solutions"?
Usually a region was entered incorrectly. Every puzzle generated on this site is verified to have exactly one solution; the tool reports honestly when a board does not.
Is my board uploaded anywhere?
No. Generation, solving and validation all happen in your browser. There is no account and no server involved.
